Completing her assignment PGM-28 and her seasoned crew returned from the Philippines with one stop in Pearl Harbor, continuing through the Panama Canal to New Orleans, LA and then to Norfolk, VA for refitting and decommissioning, a journey of 13,000 miles that took more than one month.  It remained stationed at the Norfolk Naval Base where it was officially decommissioned 10 February 1948.

 She was transferred to Greece and named Plotarkhis Blessas.  The official Naval Vessel Register of 1 January 1949 lists transfer to Greece as December 1947.  She was subsequently struck from the Greek Navy list in 1963 and scrapped.
